YMCA of Greater Michiana BOD Approves Capital Improvement Plan for Camp Eberhart

Abonmarche Consultants to Manage Project

THREE RIVERS, Mich., August 2, 2021 – The YMCA of Greater Michiana Board of Directors announced a partnership with Abonmarche Consultants to develop a facility master plan for the Y’s Camp Eberhart in Three Rivers, Michigan.

Many old and historical buildings on Camp Eberhart’s property need to be preserved and renovated, and there is a need for new buildings and facilities that will allow the YMCA to bring new programs and activities to camp. These improvements will ensure that Camp Eberhart continues to attract new campers for years to come.

“By approving this project, the board has made a clear and bold decision that they are committed to the long-term sustainability of Camp Eberhart,” emphasized  Mark Weber, YMCA’s Chief Executive Officer.

Abonmarche’s overall facility evaluation will include review of the camp’s site and grounds, buildings and mechanical, expansion and future needs, and prioritization of those findings. Abonmarche’s is based in Benton Harbor, Michigan, with 10 offices in Indiana and Southwest Michigan.

“Our goal is to plan and design a brighter future for our clients and the communities we’re a part of. We value creating something that will last for future generations, and the Camp Eberhart project is a perfect fit for us,” noted Daryl Knip, Abonmarche CEO.

The project is expected to commence in the summer of 2021,
